Further details about the services are described in the RESORT DIRECTORY.

HOW TO REACH YOUR UNIT

[Neighbourhood tactile map: the underpass – unit path is marked by a dotted line]

Exit the RECEPTION from the north side, the one facing the offices. Move to the right, paying attention to the flower beds and decorative trees. At the corner of the building, turn right again to find the pedestrianised street. You may encounter a flower bed used as a traffic barrier. However, watch out for passing bicycles. Continue following the wall for about 87 yards until you leave the pedestrian area for a few steps and find an underpass on your right that allows you to go under the building. Cross it, paying attention to the vehicle barriers that keep cars from driving through, then turn left and continue for another 82 yards. You will encounter, in this order, a rosebay hedge, a ramp with a handrail leading to the back entrance of the pool, public restrooms, and laundry facilities.

Caution: here you must cross a road open to traffic. Try to keep along the border between asphalt and gravel until you reach the courtyards adjacent to pitches 99E and 100E. You might find parked cars here. Stay on the asphalt strip alongside the gravel for another 16 yards (you might come across a pine tree trunk), then cross the road, paying close attention to passing cars.

On the other side of the road, you will arrive at a gravelly area and find a drinking fountain. Follow the hedge until you reach the paved area of the common parking lot.

If your cottage is numbered between 401 and 406 (SOUTH row), follow the yellow tactile paving that begins about two steps to the right of the hedge.

If your cottage is numbered between 407 and 412 (NORTH row), stay along the edge between the asphalt and the gravel for another 16 yards until you reach alternating pines and driveways adjacent to the individual housing units. The entrance to each unit is located between two maritime pines.

THE COTTAGE

[Refer to the tactile map of the housing unit]

Coming from the parking lot, the order of the units in the SOUTH row is 406, 405, 404, 403, 402, 401. The order of the NORTH row is 407, 408, 409, 410, 411, 412.

The unit consists of a small enclosed courtyard, a covered terrace at the entrance, and a large studio apartment, divided into a sleeping area on the right and a living area on the left. Light comes in through a large glass door.

HOW TO ENTER

Cross the parking lot along the yellow tactile paving, then take the path that joins all the entrances. [Neighborhood tactile map: the dotted line becomes thatched]

The gaps in the hedge to your left lead to the entrance gates. They open without the need for keys with a simple latch, located on the inside of the gate.

THE TERRACE

[Not portrayed on the tactile map of the unit, which only illustrates the studio apartment]

The covered terrace is located in front of the entrance and is furnished with a table and four chairs. To the right of the glass door, you will find a drying rack, broom, dustpan, bucket, and mop. Here, about 15 inches from the ground, there is a German-style electrical outlet with a safety cover [marked with a dot on the tactile map of the cottage].
The glass of the entrance door is transparent; to darken the room, you need to draw the curtains.

THE ENTRANCE

The entrance lock is located below the handle. You will also find a safety lever. To open, insert the keys and turn them clockwise, then lift the lever and slide the doors open.
To secure the door from the outside, make sure the lever is pulled up, then close the two glass doors, lower the lever, and turn the key counterclockwise in the lock.
To lock the door from the inside, close the doors, lower the safety lever, and turn the knob.

Caution: mind the raised threshold at the entrance.

THE STUDIO APARTMENT: SLEEPING AREA

The sleeping area is accessed directly through the glass door and is mainly taken up by the double bed, at the foot of which there is a pouf that can be turned into a single bed if needed (this can be requested at the RECEPTION). If we explore the walls counterclockwise, the sleeping area is organised as follows: at about 6 ft high, behind the curtain, are the main electricity switches, which should not be touched. At about 4 ft high hangs the air conditioning remote. Slightly below, there are two light switches: the left one turns the entrance light on and off, the right one controls the terrace light. Continuing counterclockwise, in the corner, about 10 inches from the ground, there is a German-style outlet. On the floor, there is a small fire extinguisher.

Along the next wall, you will find: at the top, the air conditioner split unit, about 5 ft high, the television and, on the floor, a low cabinet with a shelf on which the remote control is placed. Next, there is the sliding window with its curtain. The window has an integrated mosquito screen.

At the end of the wall, in the corner, begins the cabinet surrounding the headboard of the bed. It has a symmetrical structure, with two vertical units with doors and shelves on both the right and left sides of the bed, which also serve as bedside tables. Each unit contains a switch for the service light and a German-style outlet.

The horizontal unit connecting the two vertical ones is made up of two doors that open upwards; inside, you will find two compartments: the right one is empty, while the left one contains two additional pillows.

Individual towel sets are placed at the foot of each bed.

THE STUDIO APARTMENT: LIVING AREA

On the left side of the studio apartment is the living area, with an open-plan kitchen and, at the back wall, the bathroom with a window.

Proceeding clockwise, past to the door, behind the curtain, at about 4 ft high, there is a box containing a fire blanket, to protect yourself in case of fire.

The next wall is equipped with the kitchen.

KITCHEN AREA, layout:

    • First unit: refrigerator with freezer and, at the top, a compartment with a safe.
    • Second unit: on the counter: a filter coffee machine and, on the back wall, two German-style electrical outlets; below: a drawer with cutlery and utensils and a large compartment containing plates, bowls, pots, pans, a coffee maker, chopping boards; above: two shelves with cups, mugs, wine glasses, and glasses.
    • Third unit: on the counter: induction cooktop, below: dishwasher, above: two large empty shelves.
    • Fourth unit: on the counter: sink, below: four bins for waste collection, above: a dish drainer.
Note: guests are required to separate their waste (glass and cans, plastic, paper, organic, mixed) using the different bins in the unit, regardless of their color, and can leave their full bags at the entrance gate to the private courtyard.

Continue exploring counterclockwise: on the dividing wall between the kitchen and the bathroom, there is a two-door wardrobe with a mirror.

THE BATHROOM

Proceeding clockwise in the bathroom, you will immediately encounter the sink, set into a cabinet with a sliding drawer and, to the left, a towel rack. The vanity area is completed with a mirror and a small wall shelf with a courtesy kit.

Continuing along the same wall, at about 6 ft high, there are two hooks for hanging towels. The back wall is entirely occupied by the large shower with a sliding door on the left.

Finally, on the third wall, you will find the bidet and its corresponding towel hook, a bin, the toilet, the double flush button, the toilet brush, and the wall-mounted toilet paper holder.

Above toilet and bidet there is a semi-darkened window with its own curtain. The window opens with an inverted tilt (the hinge is at the top instead of the bottom). The handle has a safety button to unlock. The window is equipped with a mosquito screen that can be lowered by pulling the cord.

In the bathroom, the German-style outlet and the two light switches are located near the left door jamb, about 5 ft high.

On the tactile map of the cottage, the electrical outlets are marked as dots, while the switches are marked as lines.

APPLIANCES

ATTENTION! The following statements are meant to support autonomous use. They do not replace the careful reading of the instructions and safety warnings.

TELEVISION

The power button on the remote is the first button at the top left, round in shape and red in color. It must be held down for at least two seconds. The button is marked with the letter “P” in Braille, although on a smaller scale. The television will turn on to the last channel viewed.

To close the control panel, press the EXIT button twice, which is the fourth button from the bottom on the right.

Now you can use the numeric keypad, recognisable by the raised dot on the “5”, and the two double buttons, shaped like vertical rectangles, which adjust the volume (on the left, marked with the letter “V” in Braille) and the channels (on the right, marked with the letter “C”).

Between the two double buttons, there are two square buttons: the upper one is for mute.

AIR CONDITIONER

Attention: To prevent energy waste, the air conditioner will not turn on if the entrance sliding doors are open and will shut down if the door is opened. Before use, make sure all windows are closed.

The only split unit in the studio apartment is located above the television. To activate it, point the remote in that direction and press the bottom of the three central buttons, the one marked with a raised dot and yellow in colour. Once pressed, the air conditioner will emit a short beep.

The pre-set temperature is 24 degrees Celsius. If you want to adjust the temperature, you can press the other two central buttons: the upper button increases the temperature, the lower one decreases it. To turn off the air conditioner, press the button with the raised dot again. The air conditioner will emit a prolonged beep.

DISHWASHER

On the inner edge of the door there are three buttons.

From left to right, there is a square button (power) and two more protruding, narrow, rectangular buttons (A on the left, B on the right). To start a wash cycle, press the square button, insert the detergent tablet into the appropriate compartment, and then close the door: this will activate the ECO wash. If you press button B, you will activate different modes:

  • once = 160-minute wash
  • twice = 90-minute wash,
  • three times = 30-minute quick wash,
  • four times = rinse the dishes to prevent odours from developing while waiting for a full load.

Properly close the dishwasher and wait for the end-of-wash beep. If button A is pressed before closing the door, it will delay the wash cycle by 3 hours.

FILTER COFFEE MACHINE

The coffee maker consists of a water tank, a central compartment for filters and coffee grounds, and a glass jug where the coffee will collect.

First, place a disposable cone filter in the appropriate compartment. The filter can be small (for two cups) or large (for four cups). Pour one level scoop of coffee into the filter for each cup you want to make.

Open the water reservoir and pour in the corresponding number of cups (maximum four), then properly position the jug. Use only cold water. Turn on the switch and wait for the coffee to brew, then turn off the machine.

SAFE

To use the safe, you need to set an opening combination of your choice.
To do this, open the safe and enter a four-digit sequence of your choice on the numeric keypad (the number 5 has a raised dot). The last row consists of # (not usable for the combination), 0, and ENTER.

Once entered, close the door and press ENTER. The safe will lock.
To reopen it, just enter the set combination. To lock it again, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
